So this past Saturday I went to the FCS concert with Annie. FCS stands For Christ's Sake and is the Christian a capella group here at Berkeley. I know the director from Korean class and Annie's brother is part of the group so we decided to go. I really liked the concert. I grew up listening to a lot of music and I just love how music can lift your spirits. I mean like how randomly singing a hymn to myself really makes me have a reverent and grateful attitude towards God.
It really looked like FCS practiced a lot and it was such a good reminder to keep things in perspective in the midst of the stress of Finals. The skit that tied the songs together was cute yet touching. Some of the highlights of the night for me personally were: Overcome, Less Is More, and Shackles (Praise you). I can't stop listening to these songs ever since the concert. To live is Christ by Trip Lee has also been in my head a lot lately (my friends have gotten me into Christian rap).
